Kayaking With Cascadia Expeditions!
Kayaking on this overcast day in the Willamette Valley brought together a steadfast and easygoing group who enjoyed a day paddling on the Willamette River. We enjoyed the beauty of bald eagles perched on tree tops, osprey calling from their nests, and observed several flying GBH’s (Great Blue Herons!). Our group was mixed clientele of a mother and her two daughters celebrating their mother’s 60th birthday and two old friends wanting to get out and enjoy the water.
One of the perks of touring with Cascadia Expeditions is trying out our sit-on-top kayaks. They provide easy access to enjoying the river, learning more about paddling or the kayaks themselves, and easy to get in and out of. As one of our clients found out when they decided to go for a swim (accidentally)! The client remarked, “Did anyone get a picture?!” when I approached him to check if he was ok. His friend replied, “Showoff!” All of us shared a good laugh and proceeded to tell stories of past mishaps on the water.
