Close to Portland, Bend, and many towns in the Willamette Valley, the fast flowing North Santiam river whitewater rafting trip comes packed with fun rapids and shines during good weather and high water levels. While this river can be run year-round, the best times are usually in the spring and fall, when the water is high enough to host thrilling class III+ rapids. September and October are excellent times for ideal flows and scenery, as our Northwest summer weather is often quite nice for hitting the whitewater rafting. Come experience an incredible forest and captivating Cascade mountain river!
This pristine and clear whitewater rafting run takes us from Packsaddle Park to Mehama, covering 16 miles of classic Oregon conifer forest. Spencer’s Hole, Carnivore and Mill City Falls will surely give you your fill of laughter, excitement, and thrill! This section is known for its calmness amidst beautiful scenery combined with super-fun rapids. Come experience this little-known gem of a river!
